Properly administering medication not only improves your cat's well-being by preventing trauma, but also increases the likelihood of him/her cooperating with the treatment. The goal is to try to administer the medication as calmly and quickly as possible, always providing positive reinforcement to the animal so that he/she does not suffer during the process. Here are some tips:

- Getting your dog used to taking medication from a young age is ideal. Initially, you can use food in this process. - Offering a sachet of your dog's favorite food while administering the medication is an excellent approach. Offer him the sachet and let him eat a little. Gently hold his head and point it upwards. Calmly place the medication at the back of his throat. You may or may not massage the throat area gently to encourage him to swallow. Then, let him go and let him finish eating the sachet. Ideally, you should try to do this as quickly as possible, so he won't even notice the discomfort and will focus more on the food.

- Another tip is to put the pill inside something he likes, such as pâté, hairball paste, or any other healthy snack he enjoys.

When it comes to traveling, it is important to hire a Cat Sitter who knows how to administer medication in a friendly manner, providing well-being even while traveling.
